Avery Sunshine
Avery Sunshine is a mercurial singer and composer who weds soul gospel jazz and R&B with a distinctive mix. Her career path has taken her from Broadway to European festivals and clubs and even to the Democratic National Convention. Sunshine, whose given name has been given as Denise White. Although she is based in Atlanta but her origins are in Chester Pennsylvania. There she started to pursue an interest in music, singing and playing the piano at the church. Her musical career began in Atlanta while attending Spellman College. The very first track to showcase her voice was called Stalk You the Japanese version of 12 song. It was remixed and has become a part of her repertoire. The singer has also provided her voice to The Fighting Temptations' soundtrack. She was appointed as the principal keyboardist for Tyler Perry's musical Meet the Browns in 2005. Jennifer Holliday was the Grammy and Tony Award winner who approached her in 2007 for a position as the Choral Director for Dreamgirls which was a stage production in Atlanta's National Black Arts Festival. Sunshine became famous in the performances that took place over four days in 2008 Democratic National Convention. Sunshine sang at Barack Obama's 2009 Inauguration.
